Video & Chihuly
Columbus Area Visitors Center, located at 506 Fifth Street, Downtown Columbus. The 15-minute video details the development of the community and its architectural heritage. It includes comments from area residents and from architects who designed the buildings, along with viewpoints on living in Columbus. The Visitors Center houses the Yellow Neon Chandelier, designed by world-renowned glass artist Dale Chihuly. A unique gift shop and an exhibition room are onsite.

City Tour
Columbus is ranked 6th in the nation by the American Institute of Architects for innovation and design. A trained volunteer guide steps on your bus to conduct a one-hour city tour. The tour includes the viewing of contemporary architecture, historical architecture, and one interior visit. The tour departs from the Visitors Center and is $3.00 per person.

Tour of Popcorn Facility
Not Just Popcorn, 114 E Main Cross Street, Edinburgh
This unique shop specializes in Indiana grown, gourmet popcorn. More than a hundred flavors from sweet to savory. It was featured on the Food Network and in Midwest Living Magazine. Learn how popcorn is grown and made into a retail product. The tour of the facility is $1 per person.

Greenhouse Tour
at Elsbury’s Greenhouse, located on Highway 9, 2 miles north of State Road 46, Hope. Take a behind the scene tour of the third largest producer of mums for the state of Indiana and one of very few that specializes in trial varieties of new poinsettias. The greenhouse offers many types and varieties of plants to browse through and you may even pick up some tips on how to keep your plants healthy. There will be a $2.00 per person for variety wagon.

Winery Tour & Tasting
at Simmons Winery, located at 8111 E 450 N., Columbus. Simmons Winery offers a wide variety of red, white, and blush wines, ranging from dry to sweet dessert wines. Vinifera, French-American hybrids, and Native American grapes are used to produce the wines and grown on the premise. A farm market is onsite and a tour of vineyard, cellar and wine tasting at $2.50 per person.

at Henry Breeding Farm, located at 13730 N. 100 W. Edinburgh. Enjoy dinner in a barn on an 1847 farm. Be entertained by a storyteller and tour the Breeding home, which is preserved to honor the memory of the pioneer farm families builders and cabinetmakers of the era.

Tour of Newspaper Printing Facility
at HNE Printers, located at 3330 W International Court, Columbus. Enjoy a tour of The Republic Printing Center, which began formal operations in 1997. The 41,000 square foot facility houses all of the newspaper production operations for the Daily Journal (Johnson County), The Brown County Democrat (Nashville), and The Republic (Columbus). In 2003, the Printing Center began operating as a commercial print shop under the name HNE Printers. Currently being printed are weekly and monthly publications for businesses in Indianapolis, Louisville, Cincinnati, Lexington, and many points in between. The Brown family has owned Home News Enterprises since the late 1800s. |

Tour of Manufacturing Plant
at Toyota Industrial Equipment, located at 5555 Inwood Drive, Columbus. The first Toyota Industrial Equipment manufacturing plant built in North America. Its primary purpose is to manufacture forklifts that meet the specific needs and market requirements of North America. The Columbus facility currently supplies 85% of Toyota Canada's Industrial Equipment production and has produced over 200,000 internal combustion and electric forklifts. Groups are welcome to tour the facility at no charge. Arrangements must be made through the Visitors Center.

Columbus Inn
located at 506 Fifth Street, Downtown Columbus. The Columbus Inn, listed in the National Register of Historic Places, was formerly the Columbus City Hall. Built in 1895 as a multi-purpose facility, the City Government Offices were located on the main floor. The Lower Level was occupied by a community farmer's market. On the second floor, there was a municipal auditorium used for basketball games, ballroom dancing, and a variety of civic activities. In fact, in 1908 a weeklong poultry show was held there! Now it is a meticulously restored Three Diamond Bed and Breakfast Inn. Your group can experience the Inn by scheduling High Tea, lunch or dinner.
