Pretty in Pink Tour
The Pretty in Pink Tour is a girls’ getaway packed with gardening, wine tasting, tours, shopping and sweet treats. Mothers & daughters, girlfriends, sisters and women’s organizations will enjoy the laid-back pace and quality time spent relaxing during this Southeast Indiana sampler. And have fun doing it!

Day 1 11:00 - 12:30 pm Step into the Victorian era, and begin your day with a curator’s tour of Hillforest Victorian House Museum, a beautiful National Historic Landmark overlooking the Ohio River and the picturesque town of Aurora. Enjoy a quick course on beauty secrets practiced in the late 1800s, many of which are still great tips for today. Learn the Language of the Fan and practice your “moves” for your next social occasion. 12:30 - 1:30 pm  Gather in the double parlors and enjoy a “linens & luxury” luncheon or a sumptuous 3-course tea in true Victorian style 1:30 - 2:30 pm  Explore the shops and sights of Aurora while taking the garden streetscape Topiary Tour of the downtown. Forty-eight topiaries in various sizes and shapes adorn a 3-block area of the residential & business historic district. Grab a cookie and a drink and get ready to find your green thumb. 2:30 - 2:45 pm  Travel the short distance to McCabe’s Greenhouse in Lawrenceburg. 2:45 - 4:00 pm Enjoy creating your own miniature garden with the help of the Greenhouse staff. Choose a small herb container garden or your own miniature tabletop topiary. (During a Tour for the Cure itinerary, you may elect to create a small container Hope Garden.) 4:00 - 5:00 pm  Check in your Lawrenceburg-area hotel and freshen up for dinner. 5:00 - 5:30 pm  Travel to Chateau Pomije Winery 5:30 - 7:30 pm Sample a variety of the award-winning wines during a Chateau Pomije tasting experience, followed by dinner in the stone-walled Lakefront Dining Room or in the modern banquet room. 5:00 - 5:15 pm  Alternate Dining Option Return to Aurora 5:15 - 6:15 pm   Visit the historic home of Veraestau, offering a spectacular view of the Ohio River from its perch high above the town of Aurora. After a brief tour, enjoy hors d’oeuvres and a glass of pink champagne (non-alcoholic beverages also available) as you relax and experience how “the other half” lived in the mid-1900s. 6:30 - 7:30 pm  Dine indoors or on the riverfront patio at Applewood on the River in downtown Aurora. 7:30 - ?? pm Visit Argosy Casino & Hotel for an evening of fun and games, or take in a chick flick at the Greendale Cinema (snacks included!) Or relax and linger at your restaurant over a special dessert or nightcap before retiring. Day 2 8:30 - 9:15 am  Breakfast at the hotel. 9:15 - 10:15 am Take a little “me time” and clear your head with some light exercise. Enjoy your hotel’s fitness room and indoor pool, or throw on your sweats and give the new nearby Dearborn Trails a try. There’s nothing like a walk along the river to help you appreciate the day! 10:15 - 11:00 am  Clean up, pack up, check out. 11:00 am- Noon Drive to the Lawrenceburg Antique Gallery to shop & browse their antiques, collectibles, glassware, pottery and decorative items.  Featuring over 45 dealers on one floor, you are sure to find “a little something” to remind you of your Pretty in Pink Tour! Noon – 1:00 pm  Conclude your visit with lunch at Whisky’s Family Restaurant, named after Lawrenceburg’s nickname “Whiskey City”, home of Seagram’s distillery for 150 years. Whisky’s baked potato soup and peanut slaw are hometown favorites.
